 Steve Riessen – President/Sales
Steve is the fourth generation of his family to be involved
in Western New York Apple Marketing. After graduating from Cornell
in 1977 with a BS in Pomology and Entomology, Steve went to
work with his father and grandfather at Sun Orchard. In addition
to handling several domestic accounts, he oversees all of the
United Kingdom Export Sales for the Five Star Group. Steve’s
responsibilities also include selecting fruit for daily packing,
purchasing production supplies and equipment, as well as maintaining
grower accounts.

 Tim Mansfield – Director of
Sales & Marketing
Tim Mansfield came to Sun Orchard from Washington State in December 2007. Tim has worked in the fruit industry for 20 years starting as a Production Manger in 1988. Two years later Tim became involved with sales and marketing and has worked for the last 18 years handling export and domestic responsibilities. He is a graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in Business Administration and enjoys hanging out with his wife and two children. |
 Bill Mathis – Senior Field Representative
Bill has worked in the apple industry for 25 years. Thirteen
years of this time was devoted to managing a 125 acre fruit
farm. His experience included a wide range of small fruits and
tree fruits. The remainder of Bill’s time has been with
Sun Orchard Fruit Company as a field representative. Additional
responsibilities include overseeing maintenance of refrigeration
and the hi-tech packing line. Bill graduated from Cornell University
with a BS in Pomology.

 Scott Penwright – General Manager
Scott has been with Sun Orchard Fruit Company since 1998 and was recently promoted to General Manager. He coordinates packing production, shipping and receiving. |
 Kent Wakefield – Warehouse Manager
Kent Wakefield has worked for Sun Orchard since 1999 and serves as Warehouse Manager. His responsibilities include plant operation and maintenance, supervision of production maintenance and storage. |
 Juli Wilson – Food Safety/Logistics
Juli joined us in January of 2006. She brings a wide variety of business, customer service, and operational skills to the company. She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2002 from Medaille College and also has an AAS in Accounting from SUNY - Morrisville. Her extensive training and auditing background will help allow us to achieve a higher level of standards for our growers, customers, and vendors. Her responsibilities include overseeing the HACCP plan, compliance of all auditing requirements, maintaining IT updates, and supporting both the import and export programs. |
 Pamela Laubacker – Controller
Responsible
for all fiscal accounting functions at Sun Orchard Fruit Company,
as well as domestic sales transportation, human resources and
office management decisions.

 Lori Ketch – Export Coordinator
Responsible for all aspects of export documentation and transportation,
as well as general administrative assistant to management, Five
Star Group and grower account maintenance.

 Lou LoDestro – Production Manager
Lou joined Sun Orchard Fruit Company in September 2006. He is a Canisius College graduate who has worked in the food industry over 21 years. His foodservice management background includes experience in production, warehousing, retail, sanitation, and pest control. He is involved with all aspects of production and plant operation. |
 Scott Henning – Junior Field Representative
Scott was raised in Castile, NY where he worked on a fruit farm. His interest in pomology led him to Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Science. He began working at Sun Orchard after graduating from Cornell with a BS in Plant Science. He works as a field representative and is also involved with the daily operation of the plant. |
 Tony Ceasor – Director of Human Resources
Tony Ceasor joined Sun Orchard in 2001 with over 20 years of manufacturing supervision under his belt. His management background includes employee hiring, training, and safe work practices for the hourly employees. His responsibilities are maintaining a work force to meet the daily requirements of Sun Orchard Fruit Company. |
